Pool party

 On Wednesday we had shared lunch left over from the year 8 dinner and after that we had  a pool party because we dint get to go to jelly park.

Rumbustification Day

 on Friday we had Rumbustification me Cadence and bailey got our photo taken at the photo booth and picked something as our costumes.Before that we got our face painted bailey was a dinosaur cadence got some foot balls and i got a flower then Bella-rose joined us and we watched the talent quest and after we did some Christmas crafts.Then I went to watch a Movie with Bella-rose in our classroom we watched Matilda then me and Bella went to pedal mania on the backfield and then Bella went somewhere so it was just me and cadence we went to pedal mania(bikes) and at the end of the day we played tug of war.My favourite thing was pedal mania.

 In nga toi we are doing activities that teachers set up for us to work on.Me,Bailey and Bella-Rose chose to do digital art we did a picture of a family at New Brighton beach having a picnic because sometimes we go on picnics at the beach with family we haven't seen in a while.

On camp we had a beach walk I was scared cause it was really high and we had to hold a rope it was slippery to I don't like heights but i did not give up I went down then came back up.

what makes up a super habitable?

 In science we have been learning about our solar system and I chose to write about super habitable planets. This is what I have written so far: 

   What makes up a super habitable planet?

The planet should be 10﹪larger than earth and have more land than others. Also if a planet was bigger than earth radioactive decay in the planet’s interior would last longer to provide heat and it would have stronger gravity than earth. But what about water? Some planets have turquoise water. Can Humans live on them? We might be able to live on super habitable planets depending on their atmosphere,weather or temperature  but scientists are still testing them to see if life is possible on these planets.

   In extension I do science and in science I do chemistry and in chemistry.I did an experiment I had to get a jar and put oil and water in the jar and shook it.And had to see how long it takes to separate it took 48 hours.

Who is Valentina Tereshkova? she is a very famous cosmonaut she was also the first woman to fly to space here are some facts about her: she left high school at the age of 16 to work in a factory then became a professional skydiver.It was June the 16 1963 when she traveled to space she went to air force engineering academy.She did parachuting training and no pilot training her daughter is a famous foot ball player her daughters name is Elena Tereshkova named after her grand mother.Her rockets name is vostok 6 witch means east 6

Pavlova

What is pavlova?

Pavlova is a traditional Christmas dessert. It looks like a cake and it is white and it

breaks apart when you eat it. It is made out of creamegg whites, and sugar. It takes 45 minutes to cook and pavlova is from New Zealand.

There is a fight between NZ and Australia because they think they made it first. 

Manuka honey 

Have you ever tried our honey grown in New Zealand?

Our honey is made in New Zealand and it is called manuka honey.Manuka honey is so expensive because it's really expensive to make.

The reason why it is so expensive is because it is good for your skin and it can help sore throats.

It can also help with wounds

   

When you come to New Zealand try Manuka honey and a slice of pavlova.

Tech

Today we had we had tech when we got to tech the first thing I had was electronics.I started to make a basket ball hoop a couple weeks ago and now I nearly finished. After that I went to cooking and we made burritos and I cried because i was cutting onion.Then we cooked the bean and put the vegetables in and that took 20 minutes to cook.When that finished we made our burritos.

kowhaiwhi pattern

In Te Ao Maori we in had to draw a kowhaiwhi pattern there was lots of different patterns to choose from.I picked the one I wanted to use we got given a small piece of paper and then we had to practice drawing a koru. Then we picked the best koru. Then we cut them out and traced them on card and then we coloured them in.

My goals for term 2

In writing I want to improve my spelling. I will do this by attending spelling workshops and completing my work.

In math I want to improve my times table knowledge.I will do this by always paying attention in math.
