On a freezing winter day the Addams family were getting ready to move to their new house on a big hill. They only had to pack six more boxes. Wednesday {their daughter} had finished packing her bedroom and

Pugsley {their son} had just put all his boxes in the moving van. 

One hour later they hop in the car with their mum and dad and start to drive up the hill to their new house. They get to the house “Mum why is the roof and walls painted black?” Pugsley said. 

“It's just the way it came when we paid for the house,” said mum. 

“It looks like the owner before us did not take good care of this house,” Wednesday said.  

Mum and Dad said “Let's just go inside.”

“Okay,” we yelled, I walked up the steps to the front door and turned  the handle. 

“Crrrrrreeeeak” went to the door. Pugsley ran up the steps. 

“Move Wednesday,” said Pugsley. Instead Wednesday did not move and just put her foot out and tripped Pugsley. 

“Ouch that hurt. You’re mean,” cried Pugsley. Wednesday just walked away and picked the room first and Pugsley had the smallest room in the house 20 hours later 

“Knock knock” Wednesday wakes up. 

“Who is knocking at my door?” Wednesday said in fear. There was no reply so she opened the door and saw a ghost! 

“Helppppp!” she yelled terrified. Her dad came running and said “What’s wrong?” he asked.

“I..I...I..saw a ghost!” whispered Wednesday. 

“A what?” said the dad. 

“A ghost!” yelled Wednesday.

“Okay.” Dad said.

 “Lets go to back to sleep” Dad said quietly.

 “Okay” said Wednesday. 

 When Wednesday woke up the next morning she found goo on the bedroom floor. So she know the ghost was real.

In Minecraft I made my name it was fun i used glass glow stone different coloured wool.  My name was big and long when it turned  night my name lit up I should have put lease glow stone because I did not like it at the end the glow stone was a bit much.

Ingredients

½ cup white vinegar

½ Tbsp sea salt 

150ml cream 

2.15l milk

Equipment 

Thermomete

Large pot 

Cheese cloth

Measuring cups

Colander

1 litre Container with holes with holes in the bottom

 

Method 

First, you need to pour the milk and cream into the pot.

Then, you need to heat it up until it's 90 degrees.

After that, remove it from the heat and slowly stir the vinegar. This will separate the curds and whey. This will look like scrambled eggs!

Next, make sure you have the colander lined with the cheesecloth in the sink carefully pour the mixture into the colander. When most of the liquid has drained add the salt.

Then, bring the cheesecloth together and squeeze really tightly until there is no liquid left.

Finally, put the cheese into a container and put something heavy on top the put in the fridge.

Super Bacteria

It was a cold stormy night but not for Bobby. He was in his nice warm house not thinking about the weather. He was thinking about getting a job but Bobby was getting tired so he went to bed.




20 hours later, he woke up with a weird feeling. He tried to run but he went so fast that he could tell he must have super speed. He went outside and he ran past this abandoned building. He went up to the door and heard a noise. He thought it was a rat so he went into the building to make sure no one was inside. He found……...someone planning to take over the world. Bobby stood motionless and said nothing. Then the villain turned around and yelled “My name is Mr Beard.”

Bobby found a rope just hanging on the wall so he grabbed

the rope and tied Mr Beard up and used his super speed to take him to the police. Mr Beard got locked up for six years.

On Bobby’s way back home, he found a magic potion that said Drink for flying and super strength. 

So he drank it, hoping for it to work straight away and it did!

Bobby flew to a top of a mountain and found a huge gem. So he picked it up and the ground started to shake and crumble.

All of a sudden, the mountain came crashing down.

“What just happened?” screamed Bobby.

One minute later Bobby tried putting the gem back but failed.

“I don't know what to do?” whispered Bobby. “What's that noise?” There’s people drowning in a flood. I have to save them.”

So Bobby flew down the mountain to the city and grabbed some people and put them on top of a different mountain. They cheered “Safe at last”. 

They all thanked Bobby and Bobby left. He was so proud of himself for saving the town and the people.

What you need:

Agar jelly

Petri dish

Cotton buds

Dirty surface 

tape

Method:

First, you need to make the agar jelly.

Then, you pour it into the petri dish.

After that, you need to put the petri dish in the fridge to set.

Next, you wipe your cotton dud on the dirty surface. Then, you wipe it on the 

Agar in the petri dish.

Finally, seal the petri dish with tape and wait for your bacteria to grow.

Last Tuesday we all had a look at our petri dish and some of the bacteria  did  grow and some Didn't and some bacteria was fluffy and some were green and yellow and black and white mine did not grow so i have no idea what mine looked like But here are some of the bacteria that some people grew.

Skatebording Sphero

I worked with Teri and Bella-Rose.  The challenge was to make a ramp and try to make the Sphero fly the longest distance.  

We made a ramp out of cardboard and tape  if we made the ramp too steep the Sphero would not jump the ramp.  We did not make our ramp steep. It took a while for the Sphero to fly because we kept missing the ramp.  Then we programmed the Sphero to roll straight and fast.  Our Sphero travelled 100 cm.

You will need

Hot water

Gelatin

Bowl x2

Food colouring green

Glucose syrup

Measuring cups

Helper\parent\guardian {optional}

Spoons x2



Method:

First pour 1\2 cup of hot water into one bowl then put 2 tsp of gelatin into the bowl with the hot water next give it a quick stir.

Second put 1\4 of glucose syrup in a different bowl then put 2 drops of green food

colouring into the bowl with glucose syrup then mix and leave it alone for a minute.

Next add a little bit of the gelatin water into the second bowl you can now mix it then

then keep adding the more water then mix and leave it alone till it goes chunky enjoy.

You can eat it but it may not taste nice. This is mine

What I will tell my children about lock down.

When I was younger…The day was 23rd of March 2020 {I was 10 years old when this started}when New Zealand went in to lock-down to hide away from this virus called Corona Virus but we all called it Covid-19. 
Every time we went to a shop, we had to sanitize our hands and wear mask and it was one in and one out at a time. Kids had to stay home and parents had to stay home and a lot of people lost their jobs and lives were lost. Family and friends couldn't see each other until alert level 2.
This pandemic happened worldwide.  I learnt to bake during the Lock-down. I baked some donuts and some brownies and I played Uno and gave the rabbit a bath. We let my bird (called Jerry) out to fly around the lounge and did some painting and sat down and watched TV and did some home work on the computer.
I felt sad about the lock down because we couldn't visit any friends or family.
